Philly Food Adventures: From So Korean Grill

 안녕하세요 (hello)

Hey, Urban Philly Foodies! Meek and Stepy are back with another foodie escapade. Yeah, we know Kiki's been MIA, but don't worry, she's a busy mama of three – we'll get the trio back together for our foodie adventures soon! In the meantime, Meek and Stepy have some tasty tales from their recent trip to a Korean Grill in Philly.

Last weekend, we found ourselves at the So Korean Grill, ready to indulge in some serious Korean barbecue goodness. From bibimbap to miso soup, we went all out. But there's one dish that stole the spotlight – the steamed egg, or as some call it, the "egg soufflé." Meek couldn't stop raving about it – fluffy, flavorful, and downright delicious. And that kimchi? Not your average – it was the real deal, packing a spicy punch.

Meek went on about her recent kimchi experience from Hmart, a flavor rollercoaster that started with deliciousness and ended in fiery chaos. Oh, and don't get her started on those Carolina Barbecue sausages at the grill – not exactly Korean, but hey, they were good!

Now, onto the main course. The bibimbap at So Korean Grill was a knockout – mixed rice with veggies that Meek couldn't get enough of. And let's not forget the pre-cooked cold beef that graced their table. Despite being a bit on the cold side, it turned out to be a flavor explosion that left them reaching for more.

The service? Well, it was a bit of a mixed bag. While efficient, Meek felt a tad rushed at the beginning, perhaps a consequence of being a newbie at the place. However, the ambiance got a thumbs up – well-lit, not too bright, not too dark, with some K-pop vibes playing in the background.

Overall, So Korean Grill earned four pretzels for its delightful flavors and fresh offerings. The service, a solid three and a half stars – not bad, but a bit too hasty for Meek's liking. Would they go back? Absolutely.

Now, stepping out of Philly for a moment, we stumbled upon something intriguing in New York City – Shalom Japan. Yep, you read that right, a fusion of Jewish and Japanese cuisines. We're thinking of adding it to our next foodie adventure, so stay tuned!

Before we wrap up, Stepy shared her experience with fusion tacos from Berea City. It's a mix of Mexican and Korean flavors, and let's just say, it was a hit. The Berea tacos and queso Berea got a big thumbs up, making it a worthy addition to our fusion food exploration.

But the foodie journey doesn't end there. We're eyeing some French delights next, so get ready for some escargot and croissants! And speaking of adventures, we're on a quest for the best pizza in Philly. Tanelli, Lorenzo's, and a mystery third spot – we're coming for you.

So, there you have it – our latest foodie exploits from Korean grills to fusion wonders. Philly, get ready for more Urban Philly Foodies adventures, and as always, stay hungry!
